The TBA's Next Generation Club
Passionate about horseracing? Want to know more about breeding and bloodstock? Look no further!
The Thoroughbred Breeders' Association's Next Generation Club (NGC) provides young people with an in-depth insight into how the bloodstock breeding industry works. Offering education opportunities, social events and networking forums, the objective is to encourage and foster a passion for the Thoroughbred horse, and knowledge of the bloodstock breeding industry, which will enable young people to become the next generation of industry participants, through breeding, racehorse ownership or having a passion for racing and breeding.
To-date, NGC members have participated in race day events, sales events and stud & training yard visits. The Next Generation Club is not only a great way of discovering more about the breeding industry, but also a brilliant opportunity to network with other professionals within the industry, meet new people and make new friends.
If you would like to join our mailing list to hear about forthcoming NG Club events, and to keep up to date with the NGC progress, please register your details here The NGC Registration or contact Carrie Cherry info@the-ngc.co.uk or telephone 01638 661321.
If you have any comments or questions that you would like the Committee to respond to please email – chairman@the-ngc.co.uk.

Sam Hoskins:-
I am running the London Marathon in aid of DAFA (Direct Aid For Africa) which supports underprivileged children in Africa so that they have the opportunity of obtaining an education and therefore are given a chance in life, one I believe everyone deserves. DAFA operates predominantly in Zambia, a country 36 times the size of Wales but one that has been utterly blighted by poverty and the impact of AIDS. Schools are supported with necessary resources such as books, classroom furniture and even computers to give them the best education possible. The food provided at some schools can be the only meal the children, most of whom are orphans, receive all day.
DAFA is especially close to my heart in that it was founded by professional gambler and trainer Barney Curley when he realised that after taking considerable sums of money off the bookmakers, he wanted to find a way of putting his life into persective by 'giving a little back', a phrase he used as a title for his compelling autobiography.
My training is going well but at 6'4" and 15.5 stone, it is certainly a challenge!
